Michelle San Pedro started out as part of our Supervision Team and is now our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) teacher. Although students call her Miss San Pedro, to some she has been affectionately nicknamed "Miss STEAM."

She completed her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and graduated with her M.Ed. with a specialization in Best Practices from National University. Upon her arrival at Elevate, she was pleasantly surprised at how complementary the 7 Habits is to her own teaching philosophy. Ms. San Pedro believes in creating a safe, loving place that encourages ideas, celebrates kindness, and supports taking risks in learning and in life.

Ms. San Pedro is the mother of a sweet and sometimes silly son, James. James is in high school and enjoys playing the mellophone and learning Japanese. Teaching is very much like motherhood - a great balancing act, full of love, full of fun, and full of learning. Outside of school, Ms. San Pedro can be found drinking coffee and nestled in a good book, watching Gilmore Girls, or on a sailboat with her little family. She considers herself a life-long learner and continues to discover herself, explore her world, and learn from her students every single day.
