Valerie Kurtz was born and raised in Los Angeles and for a short time in rural Utah. She graduated from UCSD with a degree in Literature/Writing, after which she went on to receive her teaching credential from UCSD in 1997. She has taught in a K-2 Spanish-English immersion program and worked in church and school administration.
Valerie loves spending time with her precious family, camping, traveling, photography, writing, music, making videos, and volunteering at her church, local library, and children's schools.
