Under California law (SB 848), volunteers whose duties involve direct contact with and supervision of students are designated as mandated reporters. Qualifying volunteers are required to complete child abuse prevention and mandated reporter training annually within six weeks of the start of the school year or prior to commencing volunteer service.

Important Completion Guidelines:

• Single Sitting: Please plan sufficient uninterrupted time to finish the training in a single sitting without stopping and restarting.

• Private Environment: Due to the sensitive nature of the topics covered (child abuse, neglect, and professional boundaries), please complete the training without children present in the room.

• Certificate Submission: Once all video modules are finished, your Certificate of Completion will be generated and emailed to you. Please forward a copy of your certificate to volunteer@elevateschool.com before beginning volunteer service so we can update our compliance records.
