3rd Grade with Mrs. Barnard
alt_text
3rd grade has officially finished their first year of state testing! Woohoo! We are so proud of them and how well they pushed through challenges and gave 100% effort and had a 100% great attitude. The effort this year has been UNmatched! To set up for the test, we had a fun room transformation to Peter Pan - Neverland! Our favorite part...working in a tent!!

Now that state testing has finished, we're wrapping up the year with learning how to read and write cursive, taking our end of the year diagnostics, and all about the physics behind force and motion. We are learning about roller coasters, rockets, as well as Sir Isaac Newton. To explore force and motion even further, we're designing carnival games! We get to research, plan, create, and build our games with various materials. When the game is completed, each student will bring it in for us to play and display. This project is such a fun way to wrap up the year, and we can't wait to see what everyone creates! These games will be displayed at our End of the Year Exhibition Night - make sure to come check them out!

Along with creating our PBL games, the third graders have been preparing for fourth grade by learning about long division, reducing fractions, as well as multi-digit multiplication! Our third graders have been experts at putting first things first, getting ready to make the jump to the TS campus next year.
