Super Support Squad at EMS
alt_text

Our Support Team members don’t just work at Elevate; they help run it, adapting to whatever our campus needs in a given moment. Their days are full, and their responsibilities change from one hour to the next, yet they meet every challenge with flexibility, dependability, experience, and heart.

Please join me in celebrating our SUPER Support Squad at the middle school campus- Ms. Alana, Mr. Drew, Mr. Jordan, Ms. Yo and Mr. Shane!

When it comes to keeping our campus running, our support team wears many hats and wears them all with ownership and pride. In a single day, you might find them teaching a small group, running a Student Leadership Action Team, leading after school club, or serving as an Attendance Champion for a student who needs it. We also rely on them to be a steady presence at our busiest moments, supervising arrival, lunch and choice, dismissal, and after school programming, so that every transition feels calm, safe, and welcoming. Throughout it all, they encourage and challenge students to reach their goals and collaborate with staff on how best to support them.

Our Support Squad sees what our school needs and steps in, wearing whatever hat the moment calls for. That's what it means to Be Proactive, and our students and community are stronger for it. It is a joy to work alongside them, and I am so grateful they are part of our Elevate Family.

WHOLE SCHOOL SPIRIT DAYS
Unity Day - Wednesday, October 21
Wear Orange (accessories only) and Spread Kindness! Join us on October 21st for Unity Day, a day to show that everyone belongs at Elevate. All students, TK-8th grade, are invited to wear orange accessories, like a ribbon, bandana, socks, or shoes to show their support for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Regular Elevate Uniform to be worn.

Orange is the color of Unity Day because it stands for hope and a united message against bullying. Small acts add up, so we hope every student will look for a way to include someone, offer a kind word, or simply say hello to a classmate they don't usually talk to.

Together, we can make our schools places where everyone feels welcome. We hope to see a sea of orange!

Costumes or Orange & Black - Friday, October 30
Students are invited to participate in our Whole-School Spirit Day by either wearing a costume or the colors, orange and black! For those who would like to dress up, please note the following guidelines for costumes:
  • Costumes must be comfortable and allow students to sit and participate in all daily activities.
  • Costumes should be school-appropriate and respectful of others.
  • No dangerous or potentially hazardous props are permitted.
  • Masks are not allowed.
  • Students need to wear shoes that are playground and PE-appropriate.
Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and enjoyable spirit day for everyone!
