Our fall appeal is officially wrapping up, and we are so grateful for your generosity!
Here's what your support has made possible so far:
-
Visionary-level support: Four Visionary supporters are helping us move toward the school-wide goal of decreasing technology use, reaching 4 classrooms!
-
Explorer-level support: Field trip transportation is now fully funded for four entire grades
There is still work to be done to bring these opportunities to every grade, and we'd love your help.
If you haven't had a chance to give yet, please join us in closing out this year's appeal. And remember, donations are welcome year round. Whenever you're ready, you can give anytime at https://donorbox.org/elevaterisesasone
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!
With gratitude, The Elevate School Foundation

| Golden Eagle Highlight: 6th Grade Camp |
6th Grade has just finished an unforgettable week at Camp Cuyamaca, for many their first extended time away from home on their own. Needless to say I have seen countless examples of how amazing each of our students are.
We arrived Monday morning at which point students were assigned to their camps, dens and hike groups, then brought to their cabins to settle in for the week. Our campers then took a tour of the camp and were brought to the dinning hall for their first of many great meals. After lunch we went on our first of many nature adventures enjoying the beautiful weather. We came back to camp for recess and dinner and rounded out the day with a campfire and songs.
Tuesday started bright and early with breakfast to fuel up for our day's activities: rock climbing, archery, geocaching, the toxic river, and another nature exploration. After hamburgers for dinner we learned how to start fires using only sticks and a rope.
Wednesday started with a nature hike exploring Cuyamaca state park, and after lunch we began our crafts - either shaping rocks or polishing manzanita. We ended the day without evening exploration and an awesome night hike to see what critters come out under the moonlight.
The mountains showed us their true beauty Thursday as a storm rolled through. So we geared up in our ponchos and rain gear and headed out to see nature at its very best - luckily there wasn’t too much rain until we were almost back to camp. We spent the afternoon playing games and doing a variety of activities around camp before dinner and ended the evening with an amazing talent show!
We just finished breakfast Friday morning and are packing and preparing for our return home from an exciting transformative week for our stellar 6th grade team!
