FAQ

What is Elevate School?
Elevate School is a Kindergarten through 5th grade public charter school in the San Diego communities of Serra Mesa and Tierrasanta. Starting the 2020-2021 school year, Elevate will be expanding to middle school grades (6th grade in 2020-21, 7th grade in 2021-22, and 8th in 2022-23). Our mission is to equip tomorrow’s global innovators by inspiring students to be excellent in academics, exceptional in leadership, and extraordinary in creativity.

How much would it cost to send my child to Elevate?
Absolutely nothing. Elevate School is a tuition-free public charter school.

How long has Elevate School been open?
The school opened for Kindergarten-5th grade students in September 2014 at the Kroc Center in La Mesa.  We relocated in December of 2014 to Serra Mesa (2285 Murray Ridge Rd, 92123). In the Fall of 2017, we expanded to two campus locations: Kindergarten through 3rd grade are on the Serra Mesa Campus and the 4th & 5th graders on the Tierrasanta Campus. In the Fall of 2020, Elevate will be opening up a third campus in Serra Mesa to include middle school, starting with 6th grade and up to 8th grade in the two years following.

What is Elevate's homework policy?
While Elevate does not have an official homework policy, our belief is that all learning experiences and work must be purposeful. This is true whether it is completed during the school day or at home. Students will benefit from independent reading of books that are closely matched with their reading level and will be expected to read daily at home. Students will also benefit from focused practice of recently acquired skills and learning, but homework will not be given for homework’s sake.

Is transportation available to and from school?
Elevate does not currently offer student transportation.

Are before and after-school programs available for my child?
Yes, we have fee-based before and after-school programs.  Please see the Before/After School Programs link under the Parents tab of the website for fee and registration details.
