About
Mrs. Litzenberg brings over 20 years of creativity and a passion for artistic exploration to the classroom. With a foundation in graphic design and working toward a master’s in single-subject art, she weaves artistry and imagination into every lesson. Her journey began when her oldest child entered kindergarten, igniting a passion for teaching that led her to inspire students of all ages as an artist-in-residence at her neighborhood elementary school.
Specializing in visual arts and communication, Mrs. Litzenberg loves connecting art to the world beyond the classroom. She encourages students to explore career paths across the arts, dreaming of future partnerships with local organizations to provide her students with hands-on experiences in various art forms.
When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Litzenberg is deeply rooted in her community, serving as co-leader of her daughter's Girl Scout troop for 11 years, and lending a hand at local craft fairs and her church. As a proud mom, she cheers on her high school senior daughter in musical theater and her 8th-grade son, a skilled trumpet player and go-kart racer. Her family’s love of the arts gives her a unique, well-rounded view of creative and performing fields.
In her free time, you’ll find Mrs. Litzenberg sketching, painting, and exploring museums—or out adventuring with her family, from bike rides with her husband to swimming with her kids. Fun fact: Mrs. Litzenberg’s art has found a special place in Australia, with more sales there than anywhere else, and her work has even been featured in their local shops and magazines!
