Elevate works to provide a variety of services to meet the mental health needs of all of our students. Promoting the social emotional needs of our students is a high priority for our school. We offer 3 tiers of services:
  • Tier 1 provides school-based prevention and interventions for all students
  • Tier 2 services are focused on students who are in need of additional support due to a variety of factors
  • Tier 3 services are tailored to high-risk students
Elevate also offers community resources to families when needed and can provide a list of mental health providers and community programs in the San Diego area.

  • SST - Student Success Team - A team of educators and parents who come together to develop a plan to support a student in various academic or behavior concerns as it relates to school performance and success
  • RTI - Response to Intervention - RTI aims to identify students who are struggling in school.  It uses targeted teaching to help them catch up.  An important part of RTI is measuring progress and providing more support to kids who need it.  
  • IEP - Individualized Education Program.  The purpose of an IEP is to lay out the special education instruction, supports, and services a student needs to thrive in school.  
  • ELAC - English Language Advisory Committee - The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a group of elected parents of English Learners that meet on a regular basis. The purpose of ELAC is to advise the principal and school staff on programs and services for English Learners.
  • ELD - English Language Development - Program to improve level of academic English.

  • LCAP - Local Control and Accountability Plan - The LCAP is a plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities.
