2020-2021 Admissions Timeline

*Please note: only Grade 6 is offered at the middle school level for 2020-21. Grade 7 will be added in 2021-22 and Grade 8 in 2022-2023.
 
Apply online by creating a SchoolMint account here before March 1. 
 
Lottery priority is given in this order: 
  1. Children of staff and board members (not to exceed 10%)
  2. Siblings of currently enrolled or admitted Elevate students*
  3. Children of parents on Active Duty in the Armed Forces (not to exceed 40%)
  4. Students living within the district boundaries of San Diego Unified School District
  5. All other applicants
*Note: If one sibling is admitted during the lottery, other sibling applicants are afforded sibling priority. Siblings of a currently enrolled 5th grade student are also granted sibling preference.

Parents are invited to attend a recommended Information Meeting to meet our Executive Director and discover the hallmarks of Elevate.  As indicated below, some meetings are preceded by an optional K-3 Serra Mesa campus tour. Information Meeting attendance is highly recommended, but not required for admission.
 
 
 
Any applications received after this date cannot be considered for the lottery and are placed on a waiting list after all Open Enrollment applications.
 
 

View your child’s lottery result/placement by logging into SchoolMint (mobile app or website).

(Please note: the Enrollment Lottery is not an in-person event.)

 

If your child is offered admission:

  • Please accept or decline as soon as possible via SchoolMint as a courtesy to other families who are waitlisted.
  • If you accept the SchoolMint offer, please also begin 20-21 registration forms online via SchoolMint
  • To secure your child’s placement for the coming school year, registration forms must be submitted by April 15.

  • If you child was offered admission and you accepted the offer, Registration forms must be completed online via SchoolMint by April 15 to secure your child’s placement for the coming school year.
  • If your child was waitlisted, monitor movement of your child’s waitlist number via SchoolMint (mobile app or website).
  • If your child moves up the waiting list and is eventually offered admission:
      • Please accept or decline as soon as possible via SchoolMint as a courtesy to other families who are waitlisted.
      • Two attempts will be made to notify the primary contact by whatever contact method the parent/guardian provided in SchoolMint. The Offer of Admission is valid for 48 hours after the second attempt.  An acceptance reply must be submitted via SchoolMint within 48 hours to secure the student’s placement.  After this time, the offer will be rescinded and passed to the next student on the waitlist.
      • If you accept the SchoolMint offer, please also begin 20-21 Registration forms online via SchoolMint.  To secure your child’s placement for the coming school year, Registration forms must be submitted by April 15.
 
If you require assistance with the online Registration process, there will be a Registration Help Session offered in April on the Serra Mesa campus - date and time to be posted.  Simply drop by with your child’s birth certificate, original immunization card, and proof of residence (mortgage statement, rental agreement, or utility statement). A staff member can then assist you with the Registration process using a school-provided mobile device.
 
 
 
  • Any applications received after March 1 are automatically waitlisted.
  • If your child is still waitlisted during this time, continue to monitor movement of your child's waitlist number via SchoolMint (app or website).
  • If your child moves up the waiting list and is eventually offered admission:
    • Please accept or decline as soon as possible via SchoolMint as a courtesy to other families who are waitlisted.
    • Two attempts will be made to notify the primary contact by whatever contact method the parent/guardian provided in SchoolMint. The Offer of Admission is valid for 48 hours after the second attempt.  An acceptance reply must be submitted via SchoolMint within 48 hours to secure the student’s placement.  After this time, the offer will be rescinded and passed to the next student on the waitlist.
    • If you accept the SchoolMint offer, please also begin 20-21 Registration forms online via SchoolMint.  To secure your child’s placement for the coming school year, Registration forms must be submitted within two weeks of offer acceptance.
