Ms. Brown is originally from Simi Valley, CA but moved to San Diego in 2009 to earn her Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Credential from San Diego State University. From 2013 to 2023, she worked as a teacher at a charter school in San Diego. During the 2022-2023 school year, she served as a school psychologist practicum student at Elevate. Now, for the 2023-2024 school year, she has joined Elevate and is thrilled to work with all of the Middle School students. Her passion for education and working with children began when she volunteered in a Kindergarten class in 2008. As she started teaching older students in 2019, she developed an interest in psychology and mental health, which led her to make the transition to this aspect of education in 2022.

 

She lives in Normal Heights in San Diego and loves to walk to all of the restaurants around there and try new food. She loves spending time with her friends, family, and partner who serves in the U.S. Navy. She loves exploring new places, trying new experiences, and learning about people. She is so thrilled to be a part of the Elevate team and helping students discover their strengths and support them in their challenges.
